Smart Plug is Educraftech's own IoT product: a mains socket adapter that adds scheduling, remote switching and energy awareness to appliances that were never designed for it.
What it does
Switching is exposed over the local network and through a companion interface, so an appliance can be controlled remotely, put on a schedule, or driven by a rule. Designed and developed in-house, including the enclosure and the firmware.
Where it came from
The product grew out of our home automation work, where the recurring request was not a new appliance but a way to make existing ones controllable without rewiring.
